In God of War II, How to Beat the Second Titan Minotaur on Titan Mode

In "God of War II," Kratos is ejected from his throne on Mount Olympus, prompting him to seek revenge on the gods who turned their backs on him. On his journey, you lead Kratos to Euryale's Temple. As you near the end of the temple, you are confronted by a vicious rock minotaur. The rock minotaur has learned a few new moves since your previous encounter with him. He now sends winged beasts called harpies after you, which hinder your ability to attack. On Titan mode, taking down the minotaur is more difficult, since you can take very little damage before dying.

Instructions

    • 1

Keep your distance from the minotaur for as long as possible. The minotaur frequently pounds on the ground in front of him, and this can kill you in a single hit.

    • 2

Hold "L2" and rapidly tap "Square" to shoot a flurry of arrows at the minotaur. Shoot as many arrows as you can before your magic meter empties.

    • 3

Dodge the boulders that the minotaur throws. Wait until a boulder is about to hit you, then roll out of the way. If you do not dodge the boulders this way, they home in on you and knock you down.

    • 4

Kill the harpies that fly down. Grab them with the "Circle" button twice to kill them as quickly as possible.

    • 5

Approach the minotaur as soon as he stops throwing rocks or pounding the ground. Hit him with a quick combo and then roll backwards when he starts to attack.

    • 6

Continue attacking the minotaur until a "Circle" icon appears over his head and he is stunned. Run up to him quickly and press "Circle" to initiate a button-pressing mini game. Press the buttons that appear randomly on the screen to kill the minotaur.
