How to Get Ocelot's Dog Tag

In "Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty," players assume the roles of both series regular Solid Snake and the new character, Raiden--both of whom are antagonized by old foes like Revolver Ocelot. If you are attempting a 100 percent completion rating for the game, you need to collect dog tags from every adversary, including Ocelot. You have only one opportunity to get Ocelot's dog tag, and it is during the Big Shell chapter of the game. When you, as Raiden, are disguised as a terrorist, you eventually locate Ames using a directional microphone. This is the point directly after which you can recover Ocelot's dog tag.

     Wait until Ames tells you to equip your AK rifle. Ordinarily, you would do so to prevent the approaching Revolver Ocelot from realizing that you are not a real terrorist. Instead, equip your tranquilizer gun.

     Shoot Ocelot to knock him unconscious, then run over to his body. Drag it briefly and put it down to shake his dog tag loose and collect it.

     Call Rose to save the game, then return to the game. The game tells you that you failed the mission and forces you to repeat the sequence in which you find and talk to Ames, but if you look at your inventory, you will see that you still have Ocelot's dog tag.
