How to Get Through Bequerel Mine in Star Ocean

With its winding corridors and powerful enemies, the Bequerel Mine can be a daunting environment in "Star Ocean: Till the End of Time." During the game's plot, you'll have to navigate the mine before returning to the Sacred City of Aquios after your visit to Castle Aquaria. By obtaining the Lightstone item near the entrance to the Bequerel Mine, you can illuminate the dark passageways. Once you can see where you're going, you'll be able to dodge enemies, locate chests and get through the area successfully.

Instructions

- 1
  Head north when you enter the mine. After the scene, continue up, heading north at the fork. Light the torch that's near the gate. Approach the gate and you'll enter a battle with a pair of Bras Dragons. Beat them and you will receive a Lightstone. Equip Fayt with this item.

  Go north through the gate, then head west. Here, you'll fight a succession of three Bras Dragons. Continue west after the fights, then head south. Exit west at the bottom.
  
  Light the pair of torches in this room. Open the gate by standing between the torches, casting two shadows connecting them in a straight line. Continue west when the gate opens. Follow the path as it turns north and into the next room.

  Head left in this new room, then left again along the path. Grab the Cooking Ingredients from the chest, then head back and down the east path to the end. Grab the 15,000 Fol inside, then head back west. To navigate the intersections along the path, go south, east, east again and finally north. Grab the blackberries from the chest at the end. Turn around and go west at the path.
  
  Locate the Brass Dragon in the area. Defeat it to obtain the Key to Barred Door. Go back to the fork south of the Blackberries chest and head east to the gate. Use the key and go through. Remove the Lightstone from your equip menu, and the north door will close. Turn off the candle on the left side of the door, then exit north.

  Enter the equipment menu and equip the Lightstone once again. Head northwest and locate the door leading north. Go through and continue north. Step on the platform in the middle of the room to activate the lights. Examine the two lights farthest from the north door, then go through that door.

  Continue down the path, heading east, then south, then east, then north and through the door. Open the two chests in the northeastern section then return through the large shadow room. Enter the north door above. Head north again, and you'll have to fight the Cockatrice boss. Go to the northeast corner after the battle to trigger a scene and receive Copper Ore. Exit west, following the tracks to an outdoor area.

  Continue along the tracks, across a bridge to a tree enemy. Head west, opening the chests along the way. Go back east to the tracks and follow them south. Search the area for chests, then return to the top of the tracks and save. Speak with the soldier by the mine cart to ride it to the entrance. You will fight some Airglyph Soldiers.

  Return to the save point after the fights, then head back and go toward Aquios off the mountain path. Battle the boss Demetrio and a pair of Legion Dragons. There will be a scene after the fight and you'll be out of the mine.
