How-To: Kill Switch for PS2 Instructions

"Kill Switch" was released for the PlayStation 2 in 2003. "Kill Switch" is a third-person action game, and was one of the first games to feature concepts like taking cover and blindfiring while in cover. The controls use every button on the PS2 controller. If you have lost or misplaced the manual, it can be difficult figuring out how to play.

Instructions

    • 1

Use the left analog stick to move your character and the right analog stick to aim your gun.

    • 2

Press left or right on the directional pad to select your weapon. Press up and down on the directional pad to change the type of grenade you are using. Alternatively, press "L2" to also cycle through your available weapons.

    • 3

Press and hold "R1" to fire. Your current ammunition count is located in the top-right corner of the screen.

    • 4

Press "R2" to reload. When your clip is empty, you will automatically reload.

    • 5

Press and hold the "Square" button to prime a grenade. Release "Square" to throw the grenade. The length the grenade is thrown depends on the amount of time the button is held. Your current grenade count is listed in the top-right corner of the screen.

    • 6

Press "L1" to crouch. Pressing "L1" near cover, such as stone walls or vehicles, allows you to get down behind that object. Pressing the "R1" button while in cover allows you to blindfire -- firing your gun in a certain direction while maintaining protection.

    • 7

Press the "X" button to perform an evasive roll in the direction your character is facing.

    • 8

Press the "Triangle" button to interact with objects, such as doors or mission objectives.

    • 9

Press "Select" to display your mission objectives on screen. Press "Select" again to return to the game.

    • 10

Press "Start" to pause the game and access the "Options" menu. Press "Start" again to return to the game.
