How to Kill the Minotaur in Castlevania?

Keep dodging out of the way of the giant stone pillar that the Minotaur wields. For the first pillar, stay out of its way until it is destroyed and the Minotaur walks to pick up a new one. This is your chance to run up to it and get in a few attacks until it turns around, at which point you have to start dodging again.

Move away from the Minotaur once it has the second pillar, and it will throw the pillar at you. Dodge out of the way then run up to the Minotaur again and start hacking away as it goes to get a new one. Keep this up until the Minotaur only has one pillar at its disposal or until its health bar is at 50 percent.

Keep your distance from the Minotaur as it has some new tricks up its sleeve with the final pillar. It won't throw the pillar at you but has a spinning attack that can do major damage. The advantage is that it is dizzy after performing it so as soon as it is done with the attack run in close and get in some attacks before retreating again.

Perform a roll by holding the guard button and pressing jump when you see the Minotaur jump into the air as it will try to land on you. After you have rolled, perform a jump to escape damage from the tremor as the Minotaur lands. This is also your chance to steal an item from the Minotaur. Press "R2" to target it then perform a double jump toward its face just before it lands and press the "Steal" button. If your timing is correct you will get the "Devil Iron" item. Keep wearing the Minotaur down with attacks when it is dizzy, and you will soon kill it.
