"Seek and Destroy"
"Seek and Destroy" is a futuristic tank battle game played from an overhead perspective. The game features a mission-based, single-player mode with role-playing elements. Players can upgrade and replace weapons and components on their tanks. A multiplayer mode is also available, with players going head-to-head in split-screen battle mode.
"World Destruction League: Thunder Tanks"
"World Destruction League: Thunder Tanks" is an arcade-style tank battle simulator. The game includes multiple types of tanks and several modes of play, including a free-for-all death match and team-based tournament. Up to four players are supported via split-screen, and players can also play against computer-controlled opponents.
World War II-Themed Tank Games
Two WWII-themed titles center on control of a tank: "Panzer Front Ausf. B" and "Panzer Elite Action: Fields of Glory." "Panzer Front Ausf. B" allows the player to choose between German, Italian or British tanks and complete objective-based missions, such as destroying a specific target or leading troops to a relay point. "Panzer Elite Action: Fields of Glory" is combat-focused with destruction-based game play. Both titles are played from a third-person perspective.
Games with Drivable Tanks
Several PS2 games allow the player to control a tank within the larger game, including three of the "Grand Theft Auto" titles available for the system. "Grand Theft Auto III," "Grand Theft Auto: Vice City" and "Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas" all have controllable tanks, either to be found or spawned using a cheat code. "The Getaway" and "Conflict: Desert Storm II -- Back to Baghdad" are two other PS2 titles with tank-driving sequences.
