Things You'll Need
Instructions
Turn on your PC. Plug the USB modem into a free USB port.
Connect your PC to the Internet via the USB modem. You might need to configure your modem before you can connect. Most USB modems come bundled with software that will guide you through the setup process.
Open the "Start" menu. Select "Control Panel," then open the "Network and Internet" icon.
Select "Network and Sharing Center," followed by "Manage Network Connections."
Right-click your USB connection in the window that pops up, then click the "Sharing" tab.
Click the option labeled "Allow other network users to connect through this computer's Internet connection," then click "OK" to save your changes.
Plug the crossover cable into your computer's Ethernet port, then plug the other end into the Ethernet port on the PS2.
Insert the PS2 Network setup disk into your PS2.
Enter a name for your new network configuration (such as "Home" or "Office") using the on-screen keyboard. When you are finished, continue to the next screen.
Select "Yes" on the next screen.
Highlight the "High Speed Connection" option and press the "X" button on your controller.
Select "Automatic" in the next screen, then type in your DHCP host name. This is the name that will represent the PS2 on your network.
Wait as the PS2 tests your network connection. Once a connection has been established, press "X" to save the settings to your PS2's memory card.
