Use Your Eyes and Ears
Spider Emblems are instantly recognizable, as they are the same shape as the logo on Spider-Man's costume and glow red from afar. When you get close to an emblem it will make a pulsating, humming noise. Open the "Options" menu. Turn down the volume of the music and voice effects and turn up the volume of the sound effects to make it easier to hear sounds from nearby Spider Emblems that you may not immediately see.
Beware the Emblem Glitch
The "Spider-Man 3" game for PlayStation 2 has a known glitch that can make it impossible for you to collect each emblem in the game. The last Spider Emblem will not appear until you have beaten the game, but if you start a new game from the main menu before you collect it, the emblem will disappear. After you beat the game, you will return to free-play mode as Spider-Man. There should be a Spider Emblem directly in front of you. If the emblem is not there, a glitch has been encountered and you must restart your game to obtain the Spider Emblem.
Search Between Missions
While playing missions you may naturally encounter Spider Emblems as you chase enemies through the city. Grab the emblems if it won't cause you to lose the mission, but your primary focus should be on completing the task at hand. All of the Spider Emblems can be found during free-play mode in between missions, which is the best time to locate them, as you are not restricted by time limits or mission parameters.
Take the High Ground
Although some of the Spider Emblems are found at street level, most of them are up in the air, on the sides of tall buildings or at the tops of skyscrapers. You will need to use all of Spider-Man's web-slinging and wall-crawling abilities to locate each Spider Emblem, so practice using these abilities before you start your search. When leveling up Spider-Man, take abilities that will help you maneuver in the air, such as Web Zip and Wall Jump.
