Sony PS2 Games

The PlayStation 2, often referred to as the PS2, is a video game console manufactured by Sony and first released in 2000. It is the best-selling video game console of all time, selling over 150 million units during its lifespan. In addition to manufacturing the console itself, Sony served as either the developer or publisher for at least 120 games that were released for the system, covering all genres and game styles.
  1. Tourist Trophy

    • "Tourist Trophy" is a 2006 video game developed by Polyphony Digital and published by Sony Computer Entertainment. Programed by the same team behind the "Gran Turismo" series of games, "Tourist Trophy" is a motorcycle racing simulator that allows players to race over 36 different tracks in more than 130 types of motorbikes including the Suzuki DR-Z400SM, the Kawasaki GPZ400R and the Yamaha FZR400. Players may also unlock over 180 types of accessories for their rider including gloves, helmets and shoes. The video game review magazine "Play" said that "Tourist Trophy" was "a new high-water mark for road racing."

    War of the Monsters

    • "War of the Monsters" is a 2003 fighting game developed by Incognito Entertainment and published by Sony Computer Entertainment. Players take control of 1950s B-movie-style monsters in a 3D environment and attempt to destroy their opponents' monsters. In addition to each monster's special abilities, the environment around the players may also be used to cause damage, such as impaling foes on a skyscraper's radio antenna. The review website GameSpy called "War of the Monsters" "great fun" but said that the "multiplayer options leave something to be desired."

    MLB 10: The Show

    • "MLB 10: The Show" is a baseball simulation video game developed and published by Sony Computer Entertainment and released in March 2010. It is part of the "MLB: The Show" series of games that debuted on the PS2 with 2006's "MLB 06: The Show." The game features full online season leagues, the Home Run Derby, franchise mode and was the first baseball game to incorporate use of the Eyetoy camera. The game is soundtracked by a variety of bands including Silversun Pickups, We Are Scientists and Night Horse.

    Killzone

    • Killzone is a first-person shooter developed by Guerilla Games and published by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe. The game is set during a galactic war between humans and a race of mutants called the "Helghast." Players take control of Captain Jay Templar, a military chief with particular skill in trench warfare. "Killzone" has had three sequels released to it as of April 2011, however none of these came out on the PS2. The video games review website 1Up called "Killzone" "an entertaining experience that never manages to take that crucial step towards greatness."
