Instructions for LEGO Star Wars II Game for Playstation 2

Travel back in time to a galaxy far, far away and relive scenes from the classic George Lucas movies in "Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy" for the Sony PlayStation 2. You control the Lego block form of characters such as Luke Skywalker, Han Solo and Chewbacca as you traverse levels cribbed from the first three Star Wars movies from the 1970s and 1980s. The controls are relatively simple and easy for younger players to master.

  Use the directional buttons to move characters -- or vehicles and creatures when you are riding them.

  Press the "X" button to jump and hold the button to hover -- for applicable characters. Press this button twice in rapid succession to use the jetpack of applicable characters.

  Switch between characters with the "Triangle" button. This button also allows you to get on and off creatures or in and out of vehicles.

  Attack enemies by pressing the "Square" button. This fires blasters of characters that have them, as well as operates the fire function of vehicles.

  Use the "Circle" button for a variety of functions. This button builds Lego structures, pulls levers, activates panels and allows Jedi characters to use the Force.

  Pause the game by pressing the "Start" button. Press it again to return to the action.

  Change characters in free play mode by pressing the "L1" and "R1" buttons to cycle through them.

  Press a variety of button combinations to use lightsaber attack combos. Hit "X" and "Square" to perform a forward leap attack. Press "X" twice to do a double jump. Hit "Square" immediately after double jumping to perform a slam attack. Hold down the "Square" button to get into a defensive stance.
