How to Perform a Finisher in TNA Impact on PS2

"TNA Impact!" features the roster of the wrestling organization from early 2008 along with several unlockable characters. The highlight of a wrestling match is when a finishing move is performed to put an opponent down for good. The button sequence needed to perform a finisher in "TNA Impact!" is simple if only because you don't have to learn different ones for different wrestlers. All characters in this PS2 game use the same button combination for a finishing move.

Instructions

  Watch the "Impact" logo in the corner of the screen to indicate your character's current momentum. This logo must be filled in and flaming before the finishing move can take place.

  Approach the opponent when he is weakened, dazed or has no energy left on his health bar. A strong opponent will shake off a finishing move attempt.

  Press and hold "L1" and "Triangle" simultaneously when close to your opponent to perform a "strong grapple" with the foe. Tapping the two buttons together performs a weak grappling move. Hold the buttons down until a grapple is initiated to perform a strong one.

  Press "Circle" while you're still in a strong grapple to perform the finisher.
