The dragon comes armed with more than just fire breath here -- he can also use elemental attacks, such as ice breath.
"A New Beginning"
This game, which debuted in 2006, is the first installment of the "Legend of Spyro" series. Krome Studios developed the PlayStation 2 version, while Amaze Entertainment and Big Ant Studios worked on versions for the hand-held systems. The story follows Spyro's quest for the truth of his origin, which leads him into a battle with the Dark Master, a villainous black dragon. "A New Beginning" features combat-oriented game play and vocal work by Elijah Wood, David Spade and Gary Oldman.
"The Eternal Night"
Krome studios developed "The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night," a 2007 game that continues the story of "A New Beginning." In this game, you can use Spyro's "dragon time" ability to slow down time during combat.
"Dawn of the Dragon"
Etranges Libellules developed "Dawn of the Dragon," the third game in the "Legend of Spyro" trilogy. In this story, Spyro returns to action and confronts Malefor, the Dark Master. The game allows Spyro to take flight, and a cooperative multi-player mode permits a second player to take control of Cynder. This game debuted in 2008.
