Scooby Snacks
Scooby Snacks are the key to progressing through the game. They are littered throughout each level, and in order to progress you will need a certain number of them. Explore each level thoroughly before moving on to make sure you have found all of the snacks you can reach. In order to get an early boost, follow the trail in the first level to reach the Mystic Playground. There are about 50 snacks to be found throughout this level, which is optional at the beginning but offers great practice for later stages of the game.
Soap and Bubblegum Powers
Scooby's tricks are, like him, a little unusual. Two of his weapons are soap and bubblegum. You can unlock the soap skill by finding soap bubbles in the laundry room. Bubblegum is a reward for defeating Red Beard's ghost. Defeating Red Beard calls for some fancy footwork. He sends out waves of ghosts, which you can avoid. Captain Moody comes out next, with his sword. When you see Moody, stand by a rope and wait for his attack. Move to avoid the attack and he'll cut the rope instead. Repeat three times.
Mastermind
Mastermind has an army of minions which make him hard to take down. Defeat his robots and space kooks, and Mastermind's red force field will go down. At this point you can damage him. Repeat this process until he comes off the platform. He'll send out new, stronger robots which you can super-smash. After defeating a wave, his force field goes down again, letting you attack the two red switches. Next, you can attack him and win.
Holiday Secrets
There are some bonuses hidden in the game which unlock in the hub, by the Mystery Machine, on certain special days. If you want to watch these, change the internal date on the PS2 main screen. On January 1st and December 31st, you will see fireworks, on July 4th, they return and are red, white and blue. On February 14th, you get heart-printed Scooby snacks. On March 17th the fountain and chimneys turn green. On Halloween, October 31st, huge plastic bats decorate the courtyard.
