How to Put Custom Songs on Guitar Hero 2 for PS2

"Guitar Hero 2" is an interactive video game that uses a simulated guitar controller to play along with songs on the PS2 game system. "Guitar Hero 2" comes with a preloaded song bank, but players can also add custom songs from their computer.

      Open a free Scorehero.com account if you do not have one. Download Guitar Hero Explorer. Save the file in a location that is easy to locate.

      Download an MP3 version of the song you want. If you already have the song in MP3 version, find it on your hard drive and note the location.

      Create a new folder on your desktop and give it a title relating to Guitar Hero. Insert your "Guitar Hero 2" disc into your computer's DVD drive and copy the files. Paste them in the desktop folder your created.

      Open Guitar Hero Explorer. Select "Add Archive" and open "MAIN.HDR" in the folder you created in Step 3.

      Go to Scorehero.com and locate the song you want to add. This will be in MID format. Download the file in a location that you will remember.

      Locate the song you want to replace in Guitar Hero Explorer. Expand the file. Right-click on the MID file for that song and select replace. Choose the file from Step 5.

      Right-click on the VGS file of the same song and select "Import," then right-click inside the box that opens up. Select "Add." Locate the MP3 from Step 1 and select.

      Open a new project in CD/DVD Generator and select "New DVD Master Disc." Drag and drop the files from the "Guitar Hero 2" game disc in the following order: "GEN," "IOP," "VIDEOS," "SLUS_214.47"

      Click the "Volume" tab. Enter SLUS 21447 in the "Disc Name" field. Under "Producer Name," type "PlayStation." Click "Export .iml File."

      Launch Apache. Select "Create ISO from IML." Locate the IML you created in Step 9 and select it.

      Launch your DVD burning software. Insert a DVD-R. Locate the ISO file you created in Step 10. Select 4x quality and burn the disc. Once complete, this will be the disc you use to play.
