Need for Speed: Shift Cheat Codes for PS3

Need For Speed: Shift is one of the dozen plus titles released in the Need For Speed racing series of games. Shift for the PlayStation 3 was first sold to the public in September 2009. A sequel entitled Need For Speed: Shift 2 Unleashed was released in 2011.
  1. Driver Points

    • Points are given each time a driver completes a special task or does a trick. Normally, gamers assume these have to be done in the heat of a race, but there are several simple cheats to gain easy driver points without much effort. Select a quick race time attack with no opponents and do donuts (reverse or forward) in a corner with a stiff-suspension Porsche on a wide-tracked level like London to gain easy drift points. Alternately, you can do other simple tricks in drift mode or race mode to gain easy driver points.

    Easy Cash

    • To build up some easy cash from doing nothing other than crashing, try this simple cheat. Select quick race along with 20 laps and about 15 opponents. Pick the fastest car you have to use in this race and the Hazyview track. Once it starts, smash as many of the cars as you can over and over. Hit them from the rear or the side to get a double points multiplier, cash and to level-up your vehicle. After finishing the race with high totals, you'll gain sponsorship money in addition to what you earned by crashing.

    Reverse Racing

    • You can gain some easy levels and cash by racing certain vehicles backward in particular modes. Select single race drift on the small oval track and use the Viper as your vehicle. Include as many opponents as you'd like (none are necessary) and then do a 180 as soon as the race starts. Come to a complete stop and then drive the rest of the track holding down the L2 button in reverse. Your level will shoot up with little effort.

    Select Button Trick

    • This cheat works at any time, with any car on any track. If you run off of the track or end up going the wrong way after a wreck, this one will set you right. Simply press the select button at any time during either one of these instances and you will be immediately righted back on to the track going the correct direction. If you're having trouble controlling your car, this one is a useful time saver.
