Cheats for God Mode on Grand Theft Auto 4

God mode refers to a common video game cheat that typically gives your character invincibility and a much easier go of things. In "Grand Theft Auto IV," Niko Bellic's pursuit of the American dream in the corrupt Liberty City would be a lot easier with a God mode, but the game doesn't have one. However, there are a number of cheats that will toughen you up and give you access to powerful weapons and vehicles, which will make the game significantly easier. These cheats work on every platform and console.

Full Health and Provisions
- Activate your in-game cell phone by pressing "Up" on the D-pad or the "Up" arrow on your PC keyboard. Dial "482-555-0100" to restore your health, ammunition and armor to their maximum, giving you a much better chance of surviving when things get heated. Once you've dialed the number, it will be saved in your phone book, so you only have to manually enter the number once. After that, select it from your phone book any time you wish to use it.
Use the Web
- Visit any in-game computer and enter the following URL: www.whattheydontwantyoutoknow.com. This will give you access to a map detailing many of the side missions in the game, as well as item locations and additional cell phone cheats. Many of the side missions will reward your character with special vehicles and abilities, giving you a clear advantage when you're handling some of the game's tougher missions.
Make Powerful Friends
- Getting a friendship or relationship level of 60 percent to 80 percent with your friends and girlfriends unlocks powerful bonuses for your character. Don't ignore Niko's friends when they call to get together, even if it feels like a waste of time. Every friend character has a unique bonus or power to bestow upon you if you put in time with them. While some are more superficial (discounts on clothes, free taxi rides), others can be life savers when the game gets tough, such as Carmen's health boost, Kiki's ability to remove pursuing police and backup from Dwayne's gang during gunfights.
Spawn a Military Helicopter
- To spawn a powerful Annihilator helicopter, destroy all 200 flying rats hidden around Liberty City. You can also dial "359-555-0100" to get instant access to the helicopter. The Annihilator is heavily armored, very fast and mobile. It comes equipped with mini-guns that can shred most enemies and vehicles in an instant, making many tougher foes and missions a breeze.
