How to Get the Bollard Gang Outfit in Red Dead Redemption

"Red Dead Redemption" is an open-world action-adventure video game released by Rockstar Games in 2010. Throughout the game, the player collects several unique outfits that enhance gameplay in different ways. Some provide greater defense, for example, or the freedom to interact with otherwise inaccessible people. Some are purchased in tailor's shops, but some are only obtained once certain preconditions are met. The Bollard Twins Outfit is one of these. There are six elements, or "scraps," that must be won in order to assemble the complete outfit.

Instructions

  Go to Thieves' Landing. It is east of MacFarlane's Ranch in the eastern section of the world map. You will see a large industrial building with two large smoke stacks. Go around to the back of that building. Go up the stairs you find there and open the chest in the room at the top. You will find the first scrap of the Bollard Twins Outfit.

  Go to MacFarlane's Ranch directly west of Thieves' Landing. You must complete the Nightwatch mission there for the next scrap. If it is daytime, do something else or save the game to advance the time to evening. Approach the ranch foreman's office to find the Nightwatch mission cue. Initiate and complete the mission by following the on-screen prompts. Kill any enemies spotted. You will be rewarded with the second Bollard Twins Outfit scrap on mission completion.

  Challenge someone to a game of horseshoes on MacFarlane's Ranch. This mini-game is only available during the day. The game is played just north of the foreman's office and is indicated by a small horseshoe icon on the world map screen. Go there and initiate the game. The more you bet, the more difficult it will be to win. Follow the on-screen prompts to play the game as many times as it takes to win. You will be rewarded with the third Bollard Twins Outfit scrap.

  Capture a Bollard Twins Gang member alive. Find a bounty poster specifying a member of the Bollard Twins Gang. Bounty posters are scattered throughout the world map, but are often found posted on the foreman's office in MacFarlane's Ranch. Initiate the bounty hunter mission when you find a Bollard Twins Gang member poster. The gang member will appear as a red icon on the world map. Pursue him and use the lasso to capture him. Do not kill him or you will not get the fourth scrap. You will be rewarded with the fourth scrap upon delivering him to jail.

  Defend Hennigan's Stead from the Bollard Twins Gang. This sub-mission is a random event triggered while riding along the road to the west of Warthington Ranch, which lies near MacFarlane's Ranch. You will see a group of gang members robbing a procession of wagons. Kill all the gang members. There are usually two, but occasionally there are as many as five, so be prepared. When they are defeated, you will be rewarded with the fifth scrap.

  Return to Thieves' Landing and go to the tailor's shop at the north end of town, next to the physician's office. Speak with the tailor and purchase the "Bollard Gang Scrap" he offers for $150. This is the sixth and final scrap. The six scraps will be automatically combined in your inventory, creating the complete Bollard Twins Outfit.
