How to Connect a Rock Band Guitar to a PS3 Slim

Introduced in 2007, "Rock Band" is a series of music simulation video games created by MTV Games and Harmonix Music Systems and released by Electronic Arts for several video game platforms, including the Sony PlayStation 3 (PS3). It allows multiple players to play wireless instrument controllers simultaneously, with the goal of matching the musical notes being shown on the video game screen. The PS3 Slim is a smaller version of the original PS3 console (1/3 smaller) and was released by Sony in 2009. The "Rock Band" guitar controller connects wirelessly to the PS3 via a USB wireless receiver connected to a USB port on the front of the PS3.
