How to Level Up Faster in Castle Crashers for PS3

"Castle Crashers" has an unusual way of awarding experience points compared to most games with a leveling-up system. One experience point is awarded each time you successfully hit an enemy. No additional experience is awarded for actually killing the enemy. The level of the enemy has no bearing on the amount of experience you gain per hit. Tougher enemies usually award more experience because it takes more hits to kill them. Gaining levels quickly requires getting a large number of hits against enemies in a short amount of time.

Instructions

- 1
  Enter the "Thieves' Forest" level from the world map. This is the sixth level of the game.

  Fight your way through the level. This level has no special mechanics. Just keep walking to the right side of the screen to advance. The enemies in this level are thieves and trolls. Thieves attack you from afar using a bow. Trolls are melee enemies that run up to you and attempt to hit you.

  Walk toward the abandoned mill at the end of the level. A giant troll jumps out at you. It looks like a large, fluffy black square. Hordes of normal trolls jump off the giant troll to attack you.

  Attack the normal trolls spawning off the giant troll with normal attacks. You should be hitting multiple enemies with each attack. This results in a much higher than average rate of experience gain, which causes you to level up faster. Do not hit or attack the giant troll. You want it alive in order to keep creating more trolls. This step can be continued as long as desired to level-up.

  Kill the giant troll when you are finished leveling-up.

  Walk to the right to exit the level. You can spend the skill points earned from leveling-up at this point.
