How to Duplicate on Gran Turismo 5

When perform the racing modification on your car in "Gran Turismo 5," your car will no longer look like a street car. Instead, it looks like a car ready to hit a racetrack. If you want to keep your original street version of your car, you have to use the duplication workaround. This workaround allows you to make duplicates of cars without having to buy one from the dealership a second time.

  Back up your game save. Insert a flash drive into a USB port on the PS3. Go to "Game" on the XMB, the PS3's main menu, and select "Game Data Utility." Select "Gran Turismo 5." Press the "Triangle" button on the game save and select the flash drive.

  Create a second PSN account in the far left bar of the XMB.

  Start "Gran Turismo 5" on your original PSN account. Send a car, car part, horn or paint color as a gift to your newly created PSN account.

  Go back to the "Game Data Utility" on the XMB. Choose the flash drive. Press "Triangle" on the "Gran Turismo 5" save and select "Copy." Click "Yes" to overwrite the previous save.

  Sign in to the second PSN account and play "Gran Turismo 5." Open the gift, then send the car back as a gift to the original PSN account.
