How to Connect and Put Songs From a PC to a PS3

While the PS3 (PlayStation 3) is primarily known for its video gaming capabilities, it also offers owners the use of a Blu-ray player, Web browsing and media storage. With the built-in hard drive on the PS3, users can easily store and play music and video. Transferring your songs to the PS3's hard drive is a relatively easy task that even the inexperienced can execute in just a few minutes of work.

      Insert a USB Flash drive into one of your computer's compatible USB ports.

      Open the USB folder once the drive is recognized by your computer.

      Locate the folder where your music is stored and then drag and drop the music files from their current folder into the USB's folder. Wait for the files to transfer over to the USB and then safely disconnect it from your computer once the transfer is complete.

      Insert the USB drive into the USB port on the front face of the PS3.

      Turn on your PS3 and scroll to the "Music" category.

      Scroll down to the "USB Device" option and press "triangle" on the PS3 controller.

      Select the "Import" option from the menu and select the songs from the USB drive which you want to transfer to your PS3 hard drive. Confirm your selection and wait for the song files to transfer. Once transferred, the files will be stored in the "Music" folder on the PS3.
