"NBA 2K11" is a basketball simulation game in which players can choose their favorite teams from the 2011 NBA basketball season and play against other players or computer opponents. One of the defensive moves you can employ during the game is known as the "Catch Block," in which a player grabs a ball out of the air after it is thrown at the hoop. Whether or not you can execute a catch block will depend on the type of shot your opponent makes and the defensive stats of the player you control.

Press the "R1" button to rotate between players until you are controlling the player guarding the opponent with the ball.

Follow the opponent with the ball as he approaches the hoop.

Press the "Triangle" button to attempt a rebound. Make sure to press the button after your opponent jumps with the ball. Depending on the opponent's shot, combined with your player's defense statistic, you will perform a catch block.
