How to Spotlight a Receiver in NCAA Football 11

"NCAA Football 11" is a college football video game released by EA Sports for the PS3 (PlayStation 3), Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii systems. During gameplay, it is useful to "spotlight" a receiver to pay particular attention to that receiver while on defense. This function is particularly helpful when your team is constantly being beaten by the same receiver. Even those inexperienced with the spotlighting function can quickly lock on to a receiver in just a few seconds.

Instructions

  Select a play on defense as you normally would based on the current down and distance on the field. Once you have selected a play, be prepared to begin the spotlighting process.

  Quickly press and hold the "R2" button if you are using a PS3, the "RT" if you are using an Xbox 360 or the "R button" if you are using the Nintendo Wii.

  Press the button on your controller corresponding to the receiver you want to spotlight. For example, if you are using a PS3 controller, you would press and hold the "R2" button and then press the "X" button if you want to spotlight the "X" receiver. Once you have selected the spotlight, you can let go of both buttons on the controller. Remember, you must spotlight the receiver pre-snap in order for it to work.
