How to Hook Up Your Skullcandy GI Series to Your PS3

The Skullcandy G.I. series of headsets are over-the-ear models designed with shooter or battle games in mind, hence the "Government Issue" nomenclature. The G.I. series of headphones comes with two converter cables that allow you to use the headsets with RCA input devices and USB devices. This allows you to use the headsets with your PS3 as well as other devices such as your computer or mp3 player.

     Connect the USB dongle to the 3.5mm plug on the Skullcandy headphones.

     Insert the Skullcandy USB plug into an available USB port on your PS3.

     Press the power button to turn the PS3 on and then select the "Settings" menu.

     Select "Accessory Settings," then "Audio Device Settings," then "next." Select "USB" as the "Input" and "Output" device. Press "X" to confirm your selections.
