How to Recommend a Message in Demon's Souls

You are always connected online to other players in "Demon Souls," an action role-playing game for the PlayStation 3. You can see the corporeal forms of other players as they fight monsters and evade traps in that player's own separate game as you play. You may come across a pink glowing symbol on the ground during gameplay. This is a message left from another player using a pre-set string of words. This message may let other players know that a trap is nearby, a difficult enemy lies in wait or that a hidden treasure is close. You can recommend these messages to other players after you have read them.

     Stand on top of the glowing pink symbol.

     Press "X" on your controller to display the note on your screen. Press "X" again to close the note.

     Press "Select" on your controller to recommend the message to other players. Other players can view how many times someone has recommended a note when the note is viewed, which can help players determine if the note should be followed or ignored.
