How to Start the Four Days Challenge of Heavy Rain

Play the murder mystery game where every decision you make affects the game characters' lives and how the story unfolds. In an updated formatting of "Choose Your Own Adventure" stories, "Heavy Rain" for PlayStation 3 immerses players into the game world so that every action has a consequence and every story is different, depending on the player's decisions. The game's "Four Days Challenge" was a three-week live online experience when players worked to solve separate challenges, each lasting four days. The live experience is over, but "Heavy Rain" enthusiasts can still play along.

  Go to the official "Heavy Rain" PlayStation 3 game website. Select "Four Days Challenge" at the bottom of the page to view an overview of the experience.

  Click "Register Now" to sign up for the challenge. Complete the registration information form. Click "Submit Registration."

  Check your email inbox for a message from "Heavy Rain," welcoming you to the challenge. Read through the information introducing you to the experience and the first event.

  Watch the video embedded in the email. Listen to the 911 dispatch call to learn information about the crime.

  Play the role of the 911 professional in the call. Select an action to perform at the end of the video. The next video will begin, continuing the scenario. What happens next depends on your choices.

  Select "Click Here to Try Again" if you fail any of the video responses. The video sequence will restart with the first video.

  Choose your responses at the end of each video to watch the next one in progression, until you reach the last video. Write down the web address presented on the screen to complete the first step of the experience.
