How to Play Rock Revolution on a PS3 Controller

"Rock Revolution" is part of a string of rock band-type games that exploded with the release of "Guitar Hero." The game is usally played with controllers shaped like various musical instruments, like a guitar or drums. It is possible to use your regular controller to play the game if you have a PlayStation 3 but you either don't have the instrument controllers or you'd prefer not to use them.

Instructions

  Turn on the console. Insert the "Rock Revolution" game. Make sure you only have the regular, standard controller plugged in and not a musical instrument controller.

  Navigate through the main menu and go to the options menu. Check the controller layout so you know which buttons may be used for what colors/notes during the game. Rearrange the configuration as you wish.

  Start a standard game and the usual screen with the rolling notes will play. Push the appropriate buttons on the standard controller instead of mimicking the instrument with the guitar or drum controllers.
