How to Aim Manually With Your Bow in Demon's Souls

Released for the PlayStation 3 in 2009, "Demon's Souls" features a gameplay style combining action and role-playing in the fictional kingdom of Boletaria. Among the available weapons offered to players in the game are bows that allow for long ranged attacks on the demons infesting Boletaria. When using a bow in "Demon's Souls," regular aiming can be used for basic shots, but more elaborate shots require the use of precision aiming. By entering Precision Shooting mode, the player gains manual control over the bow, making accurate long range shots possible.

Instructions

  Press the "L1" or "R1" button to ready your bow, depending on which hand you are using to wield the bow.

  Press the "L1" button to enter Precision Shooting mode. Once activated, the camera will switch to first person and an aiming reticle will appear in the center of the screen.

  Move the right analog stick to aim the reticle over the target you wish to shoot. During Precision Shooting mode, you can continue to move your character with the left analog stick.

  Press the "R1" button to fire an arrow at your target. Once you have finished using your bow, press "L1" again to leave Precision Shooting mode.
