How to Get a Big Boss Rank on Metal Gear Online

In "Metal Gear Solid 4: Sons of the Patriots," players can earn a rank of Big Boss for playing through the game in a very specific manner. After earning the Big Boss rank, players unlock a Big Boss iPod song, the Patriot weapon, Big Boss FaceCamo, and a Big Boss achievement that can be seen by opponents in Metal Gear Online. Earning this rank will require practice and patience, as committing just one mistake will require you to abandon your save and restart from the beginning.

Instructions

  Play through the entirety of "Metal Gear Solid 4: Sons of the Patriots" to unlock the Big Boss Extreme difficulty.

  Start a new game in the Big Boss Extreme difficulty.

  Waste as little time as possible durring gameplay. In order to unlock Big Boss rank, you must complete the game in less than 5 hours.

  Do not kill any humans as you play through the game. You must sedate them with your dart gun instead.

  Do not set off any alerts as you play through the game. Alerts happen when an character recognizes you as their enemy. Crawl through the game's shadows stealthily to avoid setting off alarms.

  Do not use any healing or special items as you play through the game. The only two special items are the bandana and stealth camo.

  Play through the entirety of the game without using any continues.
