How to Unlock Angol Fear

Angol Fear is one of the characters in "Soul Calibur IV" that doesn't have any real backstory or significant relevance to the plot of the game. She is similar in this regard to the Lizardman or Scheherazade. There are generally two ways to unlock characters in the "Soul Calibur" franchise -- you can either purchase them for gold in the "Create a Character" mode or you must defeat them in a battle during Story Mode. Angol Fear must be defeated.

  Select "Single Player Modes" from the main menu by highlighting it and pressing "X" on the PlayStation 3 or "A" on the Xbox 360. Select "Story Mode" from the list of options.

  Choose any difficulty when you are prompted. This setting has no bearing on whether you unlock Angol Fear. When prompted, pick either Scheherazade, Kilik, Algol, The Apprentice or Zasalamel as your character.

  Play through story mode until you reach the fight against Angol Fear. She becomes a playable character if you win the battle. Angol Fear is a fairly fast character, but she is very weak. Use your best attacks against her and you will be able to break her guard. Fling her from the edge of the arena for a quick KO if you are good with throws.
