How to Get Sharpstone in Demon's Souls

"Demon's Souls" is an action role-playing game for the PlayStation 3. In the game, you collect materials to upgrade your weapons and armor. Materials are dropped from monsters and other enemies or can be purchased from characters in the game. Sharpstone comes in different sizes and is used to upgrade a wide variety of weapons in the game, including the Broad Sword and Pick Axe. Collecting Sharpstone may be tedious, but the weapon upgrades make it worthwhile.

Instructions

Purchase

  Travel to Level 2-1 from the main room.

  Locate the Filthy Man in Stonefang Tunnel.

  Speak to him. He offers to sell you some items.

  Purchase one shard of Sharpstone for 500 Souls.
- 5
  Return to the main room and locate the Filthy Man in Level 2-2. In Level 2-2, he sells you a large shard of Sharpstone for 1500 Souls.
Collecting

  Hunt the Crystal Lizard in Level 1-2, 1-3 and 1-4. Crystal Lizards make a jingling sound when nearby and attempt to run from an attack. Attack them with a ranged spell or bow and arrow.

  Attack the Pickaxe Scale Miners in Level 2-1 and 2-2. The Pickaxe Scale Miners drop Sharpstone frequently and are relatively easy to kill. Their attacks are slow and they deal little damage.

  Attack the Hoplites in Level 1-2. Roll or circle around to hit their backside for an easy kill. They drop both the shard of Sharpstone and large shard of Sharpstone.
