PS3 Slim 120 GB Model
The initial model of the PS3 Slim was made available for sale on September 1, 2009. The first slim model of the Sony console featured a 120 GB internal hard drive. The initial PS3 slim shipped with a price tag of $299. The 120 GB Slim model has since been discontinued by Sony.
PS3 Slim 250 GB Model
Released on November 3, 2009, the next iteration of the PS3 Slim model featured an increased storage capacity with a 250 GB hard drive. Shipping with an initial retail price of $349.99, the 250 GB PS3 Slim has been discontinued by Sony.
PS3 Slim 160 GB Model
The third iteration of the Slim PS3, the 160 GB model was released on September 19, 2010. Replacing the previous 120 GB PS3 model with a larger hard drive, the 160 GB model featured an initial retail price of $299. In 2011, limited-edition bundles featuring the console paired with "Killzone 3" and "Call of Duty: Black Ops" were released on February 22 and May 31, respectively. As of June 2011, the 160 GB Slim is still featured as the base model for the Sony console.
PS3 Slim 320 GB Model
Released in tandem with the 160 GB model in September 2010, the 320 GB model of the Slim PS3 introduced a larger hard drive while bundling the console with the PlayStation Move peripheral and "Sports Champions" game. Following the original bundle, the 320 GB model was later released in a standalone model. As of June 2011, the 320 GB model of the Slim PS3 acts as the deluxe model for the system.
