How to Make a Shark in Little Big Planet

LittleBigPlanet is a game created by the UK based studio, Media Molecule. LittleBigPlanet gives the player endless amounts of tools that the player uses to design levels, mini-games, or even possibly whole games for others to enjoy. Before any player begins making his masterpiece, he first must understand what kind of components are required to design those mind blowing creations. Some levels may require animals or robots, or maybe if designing an underwater level, a shark adds to the reality of your marine world.

Instructions

    • 1

Access "MyMoon" through the Pod computer. Immediately after the game is turned on, your character is inside of your pod and standing in front of the Pod Computer. Use the cursor to click on "MyMoon" by pressing the X button.

    • 2

Select a crater that you wish to build a level on. Each crater represents an area where levels can be stored for later play or development. Any crater can be selected, by placing your cursor over it then pressing the X button. All the craters are the same, regardless of visual size. If you are already building the level that needs a shark just select the level you are creating.

    • 3

Begin to build your shark on your selected level. First you must press Square to access the Pop-it menu, and then select your "Goodies Bag" with the X button.

    • 4

Navigate to the Materials page while you are in your "Goodies Bag", and select the material you wish to use to construct your shark. There are many different types of material available, but avoid materials like light and dark matter, as they are stationary, and will not work for the purpose of a shark.

    • 5

Move to the "Choose Shape" menu then navigate to the shape called "Narrow Ellipse". Select the "Narrow Ellipse" and then expand it by pressing the right joystick up until it reaches your desired size. This will be the body of the shark.

    • 6

Press circle to go back to the "Choose Shape" menu, and select the "Right-Angle Triangle". This will serve as both the tail fin, and dorsal fin of the shark. After selecting the shape, increase the size so that it is in scale with your shark. Then proceed to move it to the back of the shark, and rotate it using the right joystick until it is at a proper angle for a tail fin. Press X to place the tail fin on the shark, make sure it is in the same layer as the body of the shark.

    • 7

Use the same shape settings to make more of the shark. With the same triangle piece, while in the same layer as the body of the shark, navigate the piece to the top of the body, so that only the top half of the triangle appears to be sticking out. Place the triangle in this location, and the basic shape of the shark will be complete.

Decorate the shark as you wish. For a more realistic shark use a gray sticker that is expanded it entirely. You can find all kinds of stickers in the "stickers" portion of the Pop-It menu. Select your chosen sticker using the X button. Move it to the portion of the shark you want to cover. Rotate it using the right joystick until it is at a proper angle then press X to place the sticker on the shark.
