How to Kill the Minotaur in God of War 1 for PS3

The "God of War Collection," released for the PlayStation 3 in 2009, includes both "God of War" and "God of War 2." Gamers play Kratos and fight many enemies from Greek mythology like the Medusa, Cerberus and minotaurs. Players encounter a minotaur for the first time during the "The Gates of Athens" level in the first God of War game. Kratos will be awarded with health orbs used to replenish his health if you defeat the minotaur in a specific way.

Instructions

  Use the right analog stick to roll out of the way of the minotaur's attacks. The minotaur uses his weapon, whether it is an axe or a hammer, in a sweeping motion in front of him and occasionally charges as well.

  Attack the minotaur using a combination of light and heavy attacks by pressing the "Square" and "Triangle" buttons in succession after each of his attacks. Continue to attack the minotaur until a "Circle" icon appears over his head.

  Press "Circle" on your PlayStation 3 controller while standing next to the minotaur.

  Tap the "Circle" button repeatedly until Kratos shoves his weapon into the minotaur's throat, killing him instantly. You will be awarded with green health orbs that replenish your health if you defeat the minotaur this way.
