Thief Games for the PS3

"Thief" Series

• One of the most popular thief games is simply called "Thief." The game follows the protagonist Garrett, who fights against a corrupt aristocracy which is a dystopian society. He is being carefully watched by several factions, so all his actions must be hidden and well-guarded. The game requires that you not be discovered by your opponents. The game is played in first person view in most of its variations, but also has a third-person mode.

"Thief 4"

• "Thief 4" is the fourth installment in the "Thief. Though previous "Thief" games have not been available for the PlayStation console, in June of 2010 PlayStation leaked through its Twitter account that "Thief 4" will most likely be available for PlayStation 3 (See References 2).Thief 4 will continue the story of Garett as he dives even deeper into the deceptive society of which he is a part.

"Assassin's Creed"

• "Assassin's Creed" is another series available for PlayStation 3. In this game, you play as a character recruited by a secret organization that is selected to travel back in time to discover his ancestral origins and answer questions the organization needs answered. This requires that you engage in stealth missions as you steal and interrogate other characters for information which helps you assassinate opposing leaders.

"Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion"

• "Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion" is a role-playing game which allows you to customize your character into various classes. Bethesda games released an official plug-in for the game called "Thieves Den" which focuses on gameplay as a stealth character who must loot his opponents without being discovered. The plug-in also allows you to hire vendors, or characters that can aid you on your missions, that are specifically tailored for thieves and provides a new lair that is hidden from view.
