How to Make Your Avatar on PS Network Sackboy

The title character in the video game, "Little Big Planet," Sackboy looks like a small, brown doll made out of yarn. If you wish to turn your PlayStation Network avatar to a picture of Sackboy, you must download the picture from the PlayStation Store. In order to access the store or assign yourself an avatar, you must have a PlayStation Network account. As of May 2011, the new avatar costs 50 cents.

Instructions

  Turn on your PlayStation 3 and wait for the menu screen to load.

  Move the left-stick of D-pad to the left until you highlight "PlayStation Network." Move the left-stick or D-pad down until you highlight "PlayStation Store." Press the "X" button to launch the store.

  Scroll to the "Avatar" section and press "X." Navigate to the "Search" field and press the "X" button. Type "Little Big Planet" or "Sackboy" using the onscreen keyboard. Highlight a letter using the D-pad and add it to the text-field by pressing "X." When you finish typing, highlight "End" and press "X."

  Highlight the desired Sackboy avatar using the left-stick of D-pad. Add it to your cart by pressing the "X" button. Highlight the "Yes" option at the pop-up windows until you buy and download the avatar.

  Press the "PS" button and scroll to "Menu." Press "X." At the menu, highlight "PlayStation Network" and press the "X" button. Highlight "Account Management" and press "X" then highlight "Edit online profile" and press the "X" button.

  Highlight the Sackboy avatar and press the "X" button. Scroll to the "Continue" option and press the "X" button.
