How to: Grand Theft Auto 4 Trophy Patch

"Grand Theft Auto IV" is an open-world action-adventure game for the Xbox 360, PC and PS3. Trophies were not available for the PlayStation 3 when the game first launched, but the game's developer, Rockstar Games, released a patch that added trophies after the Trophies feature was added to the PlayStation 3. You will have to complete various tasks and challenges in the game, such as completing the game's story, to unlock trophies.

  Connect your PS3 to a wireless network. Access the "Wireless Options" in the "Settings" column to connect the console to a wireless network.

  Insert the "Grand Theft Auto IV" disc into the PlayStation 3.

  Boot the game by scrolling to the "Game" column and pressing "X" on "Grand Theft Auto IV." The game will automatically recognize there is a patch available for download and ask for permission to download it.

  Press "X" to download the patch for "Grand Theft Auto IV." Continue downloading patches until the patch that included Trophies is downloaded.
