How Do I Get Five Stars on Gurangatch in Final Fantasy XIII?

Gurangatch is a boss monster in "Final Fantasy XIII," a fantasy roleplaying video game released in 2010 in North America. Defeating Gurangatch is one of 64 missions in the game. In order to get a five-star rating on the mission, you have to kill Gurangatch within a certain time limit, which is extremely difficult. However, if you master a certain approach to the monster, you can achieve a five-star rating.

Instructions

  Get as close as you can to Gurangatch without setting off his radar, then hold still. He should turn away from you.

  Move parallel to his motions in a stealthy manner. This may take you a couple of tries to do successfully. When you get the opportunity, launch a preemptive strike.

  Have Vanille cast a round of debuffs, which allows Fang and Lightning to do more damage, since Gurangatch should be staggered. You should be able to beat the target time of 1:12 with this strategy.
