How to Cast Miracles in Demon's Souls

"Demon's Souls" is a PS3-exclusive action-RPG in which players control a customizable avatar. The style of gameplay is a dungeon crawl, focusing on individual encounters with enemies, traps, environmental hazards and, occasionally, other players. Certain classes are more magic oriented than others, and these players have access to special, more powerful spells, known as miracles, which have wide-ranging effects and consume far more magical energy than normal spells. As the name implies, miracles are usually life-granting and life-saving spells.

Instructions

  Enter World 4-1, Shrine of Storms. Head toward the castle gates and search by the tree on the right. Here you will find the Talisman of God, which you need to equip in order to cast miracles.

  Rescue Saint Urbain from 4-2, and he returns to the Nexus. Speak to him there, and he will allow you to trade Demon's Souls -- in some cases a large number of "regular" souls -- for miracles. You need a Faith stat of 10 to carry at least one miracle.

  Equip the Talisman in your "off" hand and then select the Miracle on the same screen. After exiting the inventory menu, tap "L1" to cast the miracle.
