How to Search on Netflix on a PS3

Netflix provides a large variety of movies, television shows and other events through either a mail order disc service or through streaming straight to your online device. The PlayStation 3 offers this capability through its PlayStation network. This allows you to watch any show in the Netflix "Watch Instantly" queue without waiting for a disc. In 2010, according to CNET, Netflix added the ability to search the entire "Watch Instantly" queue directly from the PS3.

Instructions

  Log in to your PlayStation Network account. Find Netflix under the "Video" section of the network menu and then log in to that account as well.

  Pull the joystick or directional button on your controller or PlayStation 3 remote down to select "Search" from the menu on the left-hand side of the screen, then press the "X" button. This takes you to the search screen.

  Use the directional keys to spell out the name of your desired show and press the "X" on the controller to select the correct letter. Continue this process until the correct show is listed on the screen.

  Use the directional button to select the correct show and press the "X" button to select it for viewing.
