Walkthrough for How to Beat Lucifer in Dante's Inferno for the PS3

Lucifer is the final boss battle in the PlayStation 3 game, "Dante's Inferno." Beating Lucifer does not require using a lot of magic or items in your fight, but instead requires a good combination of evasion and simple physical attacks. Through the duration of the battle, Lucifer will change his fighting stance twice. Players must adapt to the character's new fighting style. Lucifer will start teleporting and, eventually, flying. If you encounter a change in Lucifer's battle style, you are beating him.

Instructions

    • 1

Learn Lucifer's attacks. The first fight stance that the boss will take includes physical hits and an arc of fire that you must avoid. Lucifer tends to act in a three-hit pattern, which sometimes ends in an arc of fire. Dodge three attacks in a row and then move in to hit Lucifer with your scythe. It is best to stick close to Lucifer as this forces him to use a three-hit pattern instead of wide-ranging fire attacks.

Continue evading -- yet sticking close to -- Lucifer as he attacks and starts teleporting during the second phase of the battle. Lucifer will move faster and become more unpredictable during this phase of the fight, but the same fighting concept applies. Use your scythe to inflict damage and follow Lucifer as he bounces around the screen. Players may choose to use the "Storms of Lust" spell during this phase as it will heighten the amount of damage the boss sustains. Expect Lucifer to unleash bolts of lighting. The bolts are almost impossible to avoid.

Watch the cut-scene that plays after Lucifer has sustained a high amount of damage. He will take on the final phases of the battle once play resumes, taking flight and bringing the battle to the air. Implement the "Storms of Lust" spell and double jump to reach Lucifer. Use quick attacks while in the air, finishing with a large attack before you fall. Eventually, platforms will emerge from the ground. Players must grapple these to reach Lucifer and continue to attack him. When Lucifer's health has fallen near empty, grapple up to where he is and swing your scythe to initiate the final cut-scene and the death of Lucifer.
