How to Improve Goalkeeper Form in FIFA10

FIFA 10 is a soccer simulation video game. Goalkeepers cannot be readily controlled in FIFA 10. However, FIFA 10 does allow some user interaction with the goalkeeper. Learning the controls for this interactivity allows increased goalkeeper form in FIFA 10.

  Press the "triangle" button to pull the keeper while you play defense. You can only control your goalkeeper in this manner during the run of play.

  Implement the tactic at the opportune moment. You want to pull your goalkeeper in one-on-one situations. However, be wary of the chip. Chips frequently result in goals in FIFA 10. Do not pull the goalkeeper if an opposing player has the ball at his feet in a controlled fashion. Only pull the goalkeeper when the player hasn't reached the ball and you think you can reach it first. Hold "triangle" down firmly until your keeper gets to the ball.

  Save penalty kicks. You will control your goalkeeper exclusively during penalty kicks. Before the kick occurs, you can freely move the keeper along the goal line using your analog stick. A solid strategy entails faking the kicker out. Move over to the right a little bit. As the kicker approaches the ball, start to move left and hold down "circle" to execute a dive. This can potentially goad the striker to aim in the "open" direction and lead to a fantastic save.
