How to Duplicate Items in Demon's Souls

In "Demon's Souls," a role-playing game that spans the massive land of Boletaria, you and other players must fight to save a kingdom from destruction. Finding good equipment is tough, but the game makes it possible for you to duplicate items to get as many weapons and pieces of armor as you need. As you travel, you are sure to notice blue symbols on the ground. These symbols mark where another player has died. By interacting with one, it is possible to bring a dead player to your world. Likewise, other players can bring you into their world if you die. This is the key to item duplication.

  Play any level in "Demon's Souls" and look for blue symbols on the ground, called Blue Soul Signs.

  Walk up to the Blue Soul Sign and press "X" to interact with it. Select "Summon" to bring the dead player into your world. He will appear as a Blue Phantom.

  Have the Blue Phantom press "Start" to open the main menu and then press "X" to display his inventory. Instruct the Blue Phantom to drop any item he wants to duplicate on the ground.

  Tell the Blue Phantom to press the "PlayStation" button in the middle of the controller and then select "Quit Game." The game will quit without saving. The Blue Phantom still has all of his items, but the ones that he dropped remain on the ground in your world as duplicates.

  Become a Blue Phantom in another player's game if you want to duplicate your own items. Simply allow an enemy or trap to kill you and then wait for a player to summon you. Drop your items and quit the game via the "PlayStation" button to leave behind duplicates.
