How to Kill Skagzilla in Borderlands

In "Borderlands," Skagzilla is a "super" skag players face in the "Big Game Hunter" mission. After setting down bait for Skagzilla, he enters the arena and players must attempt to defeat him. Skagzilla is level 21, heavily armored and resistant to incendiary and shock-based weapons. However, he does have weak areas and behaves in a relatively predictable fashion -- both of which players should take advantage of in order to quickly and efficiently kill the beast.

Instructions

  Arm your character with explosive or high damage weapons from your backpack.

  Lay down grenade mines (if you have a mod for grenade mines) in different places around the arena. You can lead Skagzilla to step on those mines during play.

  Aim immediately for Skagzilla's mouth when he enters the arena. He roars as he enters, giving players an immediate opportunity to get some critical hits on Skagzilla.

  Use your character's special skills (berserker, Scorpio turret, etc.) to help gain critical hits on Skagzilla.
- 5
  Lead Skagzilla toward the entrance of the arena. He is too large to fit through the entrance, so this is a good spot for players to fire and gain critical hits.
- 6
  Back away from Skagzilla when he advances and shoot at his stomach. Backing away protects your character from damage by Skagzilla's claws, but also causes Skagzilla to rear up, exposing his unarmored belly.
