How to Get a Spread Shot in Uncharted 2: Among Thieves

In "Uncharted 2: Among Thieves," you'll travel across the world, from the jungles of Borneo to the frozen wastes of the Arctic, to get your hands on some treasure. Playing as Nathan Drake, distant relative of Sir Francis Drake, you need to master all of the weapons in the game to have a chance against your foes. One very useful tactic is the ability to fire spread shot across a wide area. This lets you hit multiple enemies, and if they're close, kill them in one hit.

Instructions

  Pick up a shotgun on the ground by pressing the "X" button. You'll most likely need to kill an enemy who has a shotgun to get one, since they are unusual to find on their own. There are two types of shotguns you can find, the Moss-12 and the SAS-12.

  Run toward an enemy until you are just a few feet away. Be prepared to fire quickly. If you don't, you are at high risk of being attacked and killed since you are so close to your foe.

  Tap "Left" or "Right" on the directional pad to select your shotgun. Since you are only able to carry two weapons at a time, it takes very little time to choose the shotgun.

  Press the "R1" button to fire the shotgun. If you are standing close enough to the enemy, the spread shot that comes from the shotgun is very likely to be fatal. If it isn't, fire again until the enemy dies.

  Press "R2" to reload the shotgun when you are low on ammunition. It is critical that you reload quickly. Otherwise, enemies can easily swarm you.
