How to Install Uncharted 2

The Sony PlayStation brand of video game systems has revolutionized the video game industry. One of the main contributions the PlayStation had was to usher in the time of compact disk based games. Disk based games offer more space, but do have one drawback. Loading times for compact disk based games are slower when compared to cartridge based games found on older Sega and Nintendo systems. The PlayStation 3 uses Blu-ray disks that offer 50GB of data per disk, but also suffer from slower loading times. Some games, like Uncharted 2, can actually be installed onto the PS3's hard drive to improve loading times.

Instructions

     Turn the Sony PS3 on and insert the Uncharted 2 PS3 game into the PS3's Blu-ray drive slot.

     Select the game from the PS3's operating system menu and the game will start. Wait for a prompt to ask you if you want to install the game to the PS3's hard drive to improve loading times.

     Press the "X" button to install Uncharted 2 to the PlayStation 3's hard drive. This will take roughly five minutes to complete.

   • 4

     Press the "X" button again to enter into Uncharted 2's menu after the installation completes. The game can now be played on the PS3.
