How to Rocket Air in Skate 2 for PS3

Skate 2 is a third-person video game marketed by EA Sports. The game, set in fictional San Vanelona, follows the adventures of a recently released inmate as he completes tasks and new tricks throughout the city. Skate 2 offers the gamer an opportunity to perform a large cache of tricks, including the Rocket Air. Performing this trick involves pressing portions of the controller in specific order.

Instructions

- 1
  Generate speed by pressing the "X" or the square button. Continue to press the buttons two or three times. You need to generate an ample amount of speed to perform the Rocket Air.

  Move the skater toward a ramp or a jump. You have to generate enough lift above the ramp/jump to successfully perform the trick. One of the best locations to perform a Rocket Air is the Mega Compound. This location has several tall jumps as well as ramps. To unlock this location, you'll need to complete the Danny Way challenge portion of Skate 2 or purchase the map pack.

  Position the skater on the ramp/jump and perform an Ollie at the top of the ramp/jump. To perform an Ollie, you have to flick the right stick downward quickly. Do not hold the right stick in the downward position.

  Flick the right stick downward at the height of the jump. This tilts the skateboard backward.

  Press and hold the "L2" trigger while holding the right stick downward. This function allows the skater to perform a nose grab.

  Press and hold the "R2" trigger while continuing to press and hold the "L2" trigger and right stick downward. After the second trigger is pressed, the skater initiates the Rocket Air.

  Release the "L2" trigger, "R2" trigger and right stick in that sequence to successfully land on the ramp/jump without bailing.
