How to Get Trophies in 2K9 Baseball

"Major League Baseball 2K9" for the Sony PlayStation 3 offers play based on actual scouting reports, along with commentary from actual baseball announcers. As with most games for the Sony home video game console, you can earn trophies by achieving certain objectives over the course of a single game, season or career. You will earn bronze, silver and gold trophies by your accomplishments in both hitting and pitching.

Instructions

- 1
  Hit a long ball to score trophies. You will earn bronze trophies when you hit 25, 50 and 100 home runs within a single profile. You also get bronze trophies for hitting three and four home runs in one game.

  Strike out 25, 50 and 100 batters in your career to get three more bronze trophies. You also win these trophies for striking out 12 and 15 batters in a game.

  Steal 25 and 50 bases in your career for two more bronze trophies. Steal four and six bases in a game to get two more bronze trophies.

  Score 10 and 15 runs in a game to collect two bronze trophies.

  Achieve several seasonal feats to earn bronze trophies. You will earn one trophy for each of these accomplishments in a single season: hit 40 home runs, win 20 games, drive in 100 runs, save 40 games, strike out 200 batters and win the World Series in "Franchise" mode.

  Pitch a no hitter with any number of pitchers to earn a silver trophy. Use only one pitcher for the no hitter to get a gold trophy.

  Earn silver trophies for hitting a game-winning home run, hitting for the cycle in one game and stealing home.
- 8
  Get a gold trophy by defeating a member of the Team 2K development team in an online game, or by defeating another player who has already unlocked this accomplishment.
