Secret Outfit
Although you can purchase clothes from several stores in Liberty City, there is one particular outfit that's only obtainable through less conventional means. In the mission "The Holland Play," you must kill Dwayne or Playboy X. If you choose to kill Playboy X, his apartment becomes one of your safe houses. Inside this apartment is a wardrobe containing the black top and olive pants worn by the main character in "Grand Theft Auto III."
Statue of Happiness T-Shirts
With one trip to the Statue of Happiness, you can walk away with two souvenir t-shirts. Head to the statue on Happiness Island and scope the ground at the base. You will spot a t-shirt in the dirt that you can pick up. The t-shirt reads "Happiness is..." After you find the discarded t-shirt, head up to the second level of the statue and enter the only door. You can't explore the gift shop, but Niko will enter and then exit wearing a souvenir t-shirt.
The Beating Heart of Liberty City
This strange "Grand Theft Auto IV" secret allows you to get a glimpse of the actual "heart" of Liberty City. Swipe a helicopter from the heliport and fly to the Statue of Happiness on Happiness Island. Hover over the catwalk at the top of the statue and jump out of the helicopter onto the platform. Walk around the catwalk until you find a statue with a plaque above it. Walk through the door and climb the ladder inside. At the top of the ladder, you'll catch a glimpse of an actual beating heart that's suspended inside the statue.
Easy Money Secret
You won't find this "Grand Theft Auto IV" secret in many game tutorials. First, locate one of the many ATMs in Liberty City. Block off each end of the street with stolen vehicles and camp out by the ATM. Wait until a pedestrian withdraws money from the ATM, and then kill him. After you pick up his money, jog a short distance away and then return to pick up more money. The cash will continue to re-spawn indefinitely. You can quickly fill your bank account with this trick.
