How to Defeat the New Goblin in Spiderman 3: Collectors Edition for PS3

"Spider-Man 3: Collector's Edition", available for the PlayStation 3, is a video game that follows the events of the third Spider-Man film. Near the end of the game, just like in the movie, you have to battle the New Goblin in a fight that moves from the air to the streets of New York. This battle is meant to be difficult and it may take you several attempts before you get it right.

Instructions

- 1
  Press the on-screen buttons when prompted during the aerial sequence to attack the New Goblin. Press either X, Square, Circle or Triangle when the button prompt appears. If you quickly tap the button twice, you can get in two hits for certain punch sequences.

  Press "L1" when the yellow Spider-Reflex icon appears above the New Goblin and move the direction stick in the prompted direction to dodge incoming attacks.

  Lure the New Goblin into a small alley once the battle makes its way to the ground. You'll be able to attack him without him fleeing if you back him up against a wall.

  Press the "Square" and "Triangle" buttons to link together speed and strength attacks. Don't worry about using web attacks, as these are ineffective against the New Goblin.

  Use the Spider-Reflex to dodge attacks. If he attacks you with two hits, watch out for a following bomb attack. If it is a three hit attack, he will be vulnerable for a few moments.

  Press the "Square" button once the New Goblin starts throwing blades at you to start an interactive cinema sequence.

  Press the on-screen button prompts to throw the blades back toward the New Goblin. The button prompts will be "X", "Square", "Circle" and "Circle." The New Goblin will then be knocked out.

  Stand next to the New Goblin and press "Circle" to pick him up.

  Follow the map indicator and bring the New Goblin to the hospital before time runs out.
